about the muse
Mike Johnsen has written off and on for the last 40 years, and began focusing on poetry in September of 2003. In 2005, he published his first collection of poems, Garage Sale. Three of his poems, driving with my eyes closed, my personal channel to god, and gifts, appear in the 2007 edition of Between the Lines. His second collection of poems, and accompanying short stories and letters, will publish as narrative, next year. In August, Mike began attending the Rainier Writing Workshop's MFA program, at Pacific Lutheran University. His poetry can be read on his blog, at the seattle muse blog. the seattle muse focuses primarily on unpublished and soon-to-be-published authors.

While the seattle muse ships an author's books to a purchaser, the author's return address is used on all packaging. 3. All monies for books sold on the seattle muse website are forwarded directly to the author by the purchaser. If an author use a payment portal such as PayPal, proceeds from the sale of books goes directly to their account. No other money transactions, whatsoever, take place between the seattle muse and purchasers of books on our site. the seattle muse does solicit donations via PayPal to defray the cost and expense involved in the management of our website. We also take advantage of affiliate advertising, Google AdSense, and other advertising opportunities as a source of revenues. In no instance do we reveal the personal information of our authors, book purchasers, or any other individual, to advertisers .
